Tom Ferguson, BCLS, CLS

Tom is the owner of Ferguson Land Surveying and Geomatics. He is a graduate of Survey Technology at BCIT (1971) and acquired his British Columbia Land Surveyors commission in 1976 and Canada Land Surveyors commission in 1996. Tom gained experience in a number of large and small projects in the Lower Mainland and Okanagan areas before acquiring the Kelowna firm of W.J.C. Kane and Associates in 1981.

Tom has extensive legal survey experience in both the field and office. He enjoys solving complex problems, and coordinating larger projects from start to completion. Tom is responsible for managing the ongoing business operations of the firm, and is looking forward to continuing to offer our valued clients professional and timely services.

Bruce Davies, BCLS, CLS

Bruce has been involved in the legal surveying field starting in 1970 as a chainman. He graduated from BCIT in 1974 with a survey technologist diploma. Bruce received his British Columbia Land Surveyors commission is 1980. Bruce worked in the Vernon area for 10 years doing subdivisions, highway rights of way, air photo control, Land Act surveys, and topographic surveys. Bruce has been with Ferguson Land Surveying & Geomatics since 1990. He received his Canada Land Surveyors commission in 1996. Additional duties with this firm have included First Nations surveys, working with architects, house designers, developers and building contractors.

Colin Ferguson, BSc., BCLS

Colin is a recently commissioned British Columbia Land Surveyor. He received his Bachelor of Science in Geomatics Engineering from the University of Calgary in 2006. He has worked in the Alberta Oil and Gas Industry, and has 6 years of legal surveying experience in the Okanagan.

Colin has an interest in technology and is determined to stay on top of the rapidly changing surveying profession.

Cameron Henry, BSc., BCLS

Cameron also recently received his land surveying commission. He is a 2002 graduate of BCIT’s Geomatics Engineering Technology Program, and received his Bachelor of Science in Geomatics Engineering from the University of Calgary in 2006.

Cameron has 4 years of legal surveying experience in the Kelowna area, and has also worked as a surveyor in the Alberta Oil and Gas industry. He looks forward to continuing to gain experience in the industry while serving the land development needs of our clients.

Paul Van Gemst, CI Tech

Paul has worked in many aspects of the surveying industry since graduating from the BCIT Civil and Structural program in 1991. In 2000 he received Okanagan University College certificates in AutoCAD Drafting Level I and II and Advanced AutoCAD GIS Focus.

Along with many surveying disciplines, Paul has specialized in Strata Plans and Lease Plans (including BOMA standards). With this experience he looks forward to serving our clients surveying needs.
